Holy heck this texture took ages to finish, and after all the time I spent on it I don't know if it's right for the house wall. I should have planned ahead... Well, I did, but at the last minute I decided to do a stone wall instead of the other thing I had planned. I like the texture itself, but it doesn't seem colourful enough for the roof. I'll sleep on it (for about 18 hours because I'm very tired right now) and decide if I want to make a new one tomorrow. It seems like a big waste of time, but I got some good practice in and I must do what is best for the project!
Anyway, close up picture (with lighting):
I put in a blue sky with Photoshop because it's better than a black background. I have an idea or two for the real background, which I'll do much later.
I don't think I mentioned this last week, but please ignore the weird texturing in certain areas. For example, the back of the half-cone roof has the shingles going diagonally. This is just because a different texture will go there later, so there's no point in fixing it up now.
This started as a filler project for when I didn't want to work on the spaceman, but I'm having fun so I might keep going with this. We'll see how I feel.
